Notes for George Wright BROOKS
From the obitutariess in the scrapbooks of Beatrice (Brooks) Kearney:
Mr. G. W. Brooks
The funeral of Mr. George W. Brooks of Low, Que., was largely attended,
many of the friends from the surrounding country taking the opportunity to
pay their last respects to a man who was well know and esteemed by all. The
funeral service was conducted at the methodist Church by the Rev. R. E.
Backus. The remains were then laid to rest in the village cemetery. Mr
Brooks leaves to mourn his loss a wife, five sons and three daughters; also
two brothers and a sister. A large number of beautiful floral tributes were
received.
NOTE: Three of his children predeceased him leaving 8 still alive when he died.
